Pews News – 29 April 2018

  1. Welcome to the kirk and may the peace of God be with you!
  2. Coffee is served after morning worship at Stenton and from 10-15am in Prestonkirk.
  3. Flowers have been arranged by Susan Kinnaird (Stenton) and Yvonne Aitken (Prestonkirk). Our readers are Doreen Thomson (Stenton) and Tom Middlemass (Prestonkirk).
  4. Children are always welcome to worship with us. At Stenton, there is an activity for the children after the children’s address. At Prestonkirk, children over three are invited to attend the Sunday School in the Stables after the second hymn. Creche in the Smeaton Room.
  5. The 4U Group meets in the Stables at 12-15pm.
  6. The J-Team meets on Wednesday at 4pm in the Village Hall, Stenton. We will be thinking about Daniel and the Space Academy.
  7. ‘The Rugged Pathway’ – An East Lothian Pilgrimage on Saturday beginning at St. Mary’s, Haddington at 9-45am and finishing at St. Mary’s, Whitekirk at 4-30pm, passing through Prestonkirk at 2-00pm.   8. The NK Ramblers are visiting our parish on Saturday 19 May and going on a walk organised by Iain MacKenzie. Meet at the Stables at 10am. Even if you’re not able to walk, come and say, ‘Hello!’
  9. Following the success of last year’s initiatives, we are organising a series of fundraisers for Christian Aid. If you would like to organise a Coffee Morning, Afternoon Tea or other event with your friends and raise some money for Christian Aid, please contact Anne Masson t: 01368 850317.
